Nethqadash(nitkadash)shmakh:
Neth: let it be, allow
KD: center, pivot point, hub, focus
Ash: space around center point
Shmakh: from shem: name, light, vibration, sound; the essence of a person or Being
Let us be on the same wavelength as the Divine Being.
We are expressing the intention to make a space in our lives in which the Divine is our focus. This space may mean carving out a specific time or creating a sacred space (home altar, etc.) that serves as a reminder to place the Divine at the focal point of our lives. This line of the Lord's Prayer moves us from not just taking the Lord's Name in vain, to evaluating around what does our life center and then opening ourselves to making space for the Divine in our lives.
